Updated October 16, 2026. The Zas terms and conditions apply when you use Zas through ChatGPT or Claude. This page clarifies the content processing used by those hosted connections. Read it together with AI privacy and permissions and the Zas privacy policy.

Content processing for hosted connections

The general terms describe encryption on your device for ordinary device uploads. Hosted AI connections use a different path: Zas processes authorized content in plaintext to carry out your approved Read and Send operations, and the AI provider receives or supplies that content. Zas encrypts saved items and stores encrypted connection keys so the connection can operate while your browser is closed. The general description of storing and moving encrypted bytes is not a description of every processing step in a hosted AI operation. Hosted access is not end-to-end encryption between your devices. Your content remains yours.

Access and control

A registered Free Zas account can connect. Enterprise organization channels require the applicable plan and agent permissions, separate administrator approvals for external AI access and hosted keys, and the member’s own channel consent. Anonymous sessions cannot connect. You choose the channels, Read/Send permissions, and connection duration. You can disconnect in Zas to stop future access. Disconnecting does not delete items already saved or copies already received by the AI provider.

Provider services and limits

ChatGPT and Claude are separate services. Their terms, privacy policies, account plans, and workspace controls apply to their services. A Zas connection does not purchase an AI-provider subscription or remove its file, network, or safety restrictions. Zas account limits, item expiration, acceptable use, availability, and the other provisions in the general terms still apply. Keep your own copy of content you need to retain. A saved item ID confirms a completed send; a prepared upload or progress response does not. Questions: support@zas.red.
