Prepare your Zas account

Open Zas connections and sign in. Choose or create a channel in Zas for your AI work. For organization channels, an administrator must first enable AI access.
2

Add the custom connection

Open ChatGPT Plugins. Select Personal → Add → Add custom MCP server. Enter:Under Advanced OAuth settings, choose User-Defined OAuth Client.Accept the custom-connection notice and select Create as a plugin. Install it and sign in when prompted.
3

Choose what ChatGPT can use

Zas opens an approval page. Confirm the account, choose the channels, and enable Read, Send, or both. Review the hosted-access and renewal confirmations, then select Approve connection. For sending original files, enable both Read and Send. A note can be sent with Send alone.
4

Try it in a conversation

Type @Zas and select the Zas connection. Ask:
Which Zas channels can you use, and can you read or send in each one?
Then name an approved channel:
Save a note titled “First connection” to my “Research” channel in Zas with the text “Connected from ChatGPT.”
Open the channel in Zas and check the note. A successful send includes a saved item ID; preparing an upload is not a completed send.
The illustrated setup guide shows the controls. Labels and availability can vary by ChatGPT workspace. If the custom MCP option is missing, check your plan and workspace permissions.
For an existing connection named “Zas Pilot”, select that installed connection when testing. Its display name does not determine which Zas channels it can access.

If ChatGPT offers Slack

Select @Zas explicitly and ask it to list your approved Zas channels. Zas has its own connection; installing Slack does not connect it. If Zas is absent, finish setup or enable it in the current conversation. Next: Send documents and notes · Privacy · Troubleshooting
