# Pause Expiry with Pins in Zas

> Pin items in Zas to pause their expiry countdown. Release a pin to resume from the exact time left. Pin limits vary by plan, with earned pins from shared channels.

Pins let you pause an item's expiry when you need it to stick around longer. When you pin an item, its countdown stops immediately. When you release the pin, the countdown resumes from exactly the time left. If three days remained when you pinned it, three days remain when you release it.

## How to pin an item

    In your feed, locate the item you want to keep longer.

  <Step title="Tap the pin icon">
    Tap the pin icon on the item. The expiry ring freezes, and the item is moved to your pinned section.

  <Step title="Release when ready">
    Tap the pin icon again to release the item. The countdown resumes from the exact time left.

| Anonymous | 0         | 0                                        |
| Free      | 15        | +1 per new channel joiner, capped at +20 |
| Pro       | 30        | +1 per new channel joiner, capped at +20 |
| Max       | 40        | +1 per new channel joiner, capped at +20 |

  Earned pins come from shared channels. Every time a new member joins a channel you are in, every existing member gets +1 pin, up to a total cap of +20 earned pins.
