# Zas in ChatGPT and Claude

> Bring selected notes and files into your conversation, and save the result to a Zas channel.

Use Zas to turn a conversation into something you can open on your other devices. Ask your AI app to read an approved note, create a document, or save a result to a channel you choose.

  <Card title="Connect Claude" icon="plug" href="/en/ai/claude">Connect Zas and make it available in your conversation.</Card>

## Before you connect

* Sign in to a **registered Free Zas account**, or use an eligible Enterprise organization. Anonymous sessions cannot connect.
* Your ChatGPT or Claude account must allow custom connections. Your AI provider's plan and workspace rules apply separately from your Zas plan.
* Choose a channel for the work. You can grant **Read**, **Send**, or both.

<Note>
  Zas is currently connected as a custom integration. These guides do not require a public catalog listing. A connection's public client ID may contain `pilot`; registered Free accounts no longer need a pilot invitation.
</Note>

## You control the scope

The AI app can use the channels and permissions you approve. Hosted access lets it work while your Zas browser is closed: Zas holds encrypted connection keys and processes authorized content for the AI app. Read [privacy and permissions](/en/ai/privacy) before approving.

[Manage your connections](https://zas.red/ai/connect) to see access and disconnect an app. For a local coding agent such as Claude Code or Codex, use the separate [agent setup](/en/agents/connect).
